Why play if everything is out of tune? I've been playing the guitar and keyboard all of my life for one reason, to make it sound right... No false notes...Love jazz... I guess taste is individual... But tune is still tune...

Admin reply: Now, what is "out of tune"?.. please describe. You say you´re a keyboard player. If you play piano for example you can never make it sound in tune because the tuning is tempered to start with. Although I don´t understand why music should be restricted to a chromatic tuning based on A at 440Hz.
What comes to not playing false notes....c´mon now. What kind of jazz could that be?
Is Ornette Coleman playing in tune or out of tune if he pitches the sax 1/4 tone "out of tune " on purpose? Is Marshall Allen in tune? What is jazz to you? jimi
