Electric Wizardry
Jimi Tenor was the supporting
act for Electric Wizard at The Garage, July 29 2000. Here's
an excerpt from the Kerrang review by Dom Lawson...
He may not be the most likely of doom
fans, but Jimi Tenor, the crown geek of electronica,
is apparently very fond of Electric Wizard. Looking
like Joe 90 after a car crash, and sounding not unlike
a cross between Money Mark and Shizuo, Tenor's rambling
tunes make far more sense than you would think, and
surprisingly he goes down a veritable storm with this
pissed and sweaty North London crowd. It's refreshing
to see and hear something genuinely unexpected at a
stoner rock gig, rather than the usual, generic, mediocre
support bands so beloved of lazy-arse London promoters,
and since he seems so delighted to be here, Mr Tenor
gets a resounding thumbs-up.
